Product Warranty

Kaya Optics ("Kaya") warrants to the original purchaser that its cameras or systems shall be free from manufacturing defects ("Warranty") for a period of one (1) year from the original date of purchase ("Warranty Period").

The Warranty does not apply to units that, after being inspected by Kaya, have been found to have been subjected to, or have failed due to, abuse, accidents, mishandling, tampering or alteration, improper installation, improper power source, negligence, or opening of the enclosure. The Warranty also does not apply if the serial number has been removed or damaged.

All units returned to Kaya for repair or replacement shall be returned according to Kaya's returned material authorization process and with all freight charges prepaid. Units must be properly packaged and, whenever possible, in the original packaging. Kaya will not be responsible for any damage sustained in shipping the unit to Kaya. Once the unit is repaired or replaced, Kaya will return the repaired or replaced unit at its expense.

If Kaya determines that the unit is covered under the Warranty, Kaya shall either repair or replace the non-conforming product or part at its expense. Repaired or replaced units will be covered under the Warranty for the remainder of the original Warranty Period. If neither repair nor replacement is, in Kaya's opinion, commercially feasible, then Kaya may refund the purchase price paid for the units in question.

Units returned to Kaya beyond the Warranty Period will, if commercially feasible, be repaired. Any such repair will be subject to Kaya's then current material and labor charges. The repaired part will be covered under a ninety (90) day warranty period beginning on the date of shipment from Kaya.

THE WARRANTIES AND REMEDIES SET FORTH HEREIN ARE EXCLUSIVE AND ARE IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESSED, IMPLIED, STATUTORY, OR OTHERWISE, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, ANY WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

Warranty Policy for Expired and Voided-Warranty Cameras and Systems

To better service our customers and keep costs relative to purchase price, Kaya will begin determining repair charges based upon the product model, parts, and labor related to the repair and sensitivity of the work required.

Out-of-Warranty and Voided Warranty cameras returned for repair will be processed as follows:

- Upon receipt the damaged product will be triaged to identify the problem area/s
- Kaya will provide customers with a repair estimate prior to the work being completed
- Work will commence once customer approval and payment have been received
- Payment can be made through credit card and/or issue of a purchase order
- Work will not commence until approval has been received from the customer via payment

Failure Analysis:

Kaya no longer conducts a Failure Analysis for Out-of-Warranty and Voided-Warranty products as a part of our standard repair process. This service will be available upon request at an additional charge. Please contact us for more information.
